Title II – Part D, Technology
There was no federal funding for Title II, D, Technology for the 2011-2012 School Year
The primary goal of Title II – Part D is to improve student Academic Achievement through the use of technology in elementary and secondary schools. These funds may be used to promote technology use, increase access to technology for high-need schools and to improve teacher professional development in technology. At least twenty-five percent (25%) must be used for professional development.
One-hundred percent (100%) of Title II – Part D funds allocated to each state are based upon the formula used to distribute Title I funds. Fifty percent (50%) of the funds are distributed to LEA’s and the other half is available for competitive grants for community based organizations.
