PARIS, TN – Students from Point Pleasant Baptist Church’s K-6th grade Vacation Bible School (VBS) have raised over $1,000 to support the Henry County School System's 2026 Summer Feeding Program. The donation was presented to Director of Schools Leah Watkins and Nutrition Supervisor Tiffany Latta by church member Laura Dougherty.
The mission of the VBS students this past summer was to help feed children in their community. Their efforts directly contribute to a vital program that served over 50,000 meals in 2025.
"Feeding children in our community is the mission for Point Pleasant Baptist Church K-6th grade Vacation Bible School students this past summer," explained Laura Dougherty. "We are thrilled to be able to help the school system continue this important work."
The Henry County School System provides the Summer Feeding Program to Paris and Henry County each year, ensuring that children have access to nutritious meals when school is not in session.
