PARIS, TENNESSEE – The Henry County High School Youth Leadership Team will begin its series of monthly community business field trips on October 8 with a team-building exercise at the Covenant Ranch. Twenty-two juniors were selected from a competitive pool of 40 applicants to participate in the 2025-26 Youth Leadership program, led by Sponsor Mary Ashlock and Leadership Henry County member Jessica French.

“Youth Leadership will provide opportunities for students to meet with business leaders and improve their leadership skills,” French explains. “Students will become aware of personality traits and learn how to identify their strengths, work with different personalities, and improve relationships both at school and in life.”

The selected students will engage in the program to earn scholarships, gain community service hours, and enhance their leadership abilities as they prepare for college and careers.

The Henry County High School Youth Leadership Program is a student initiative designed to develop future leaders through hands-on learning, community engagement, and mentorship with local business professionals. It is sponsored by Leadership Henry County, a community development program designed by the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce.
