PARIS, TN – Henry County School System is pleased to announce a new investment in workplace safety, thanks to a grant secured by Stephanie Winders, the district’s Coordinated School Health Coordinator.

The grant, awarded by the Tennessee Risk Management Trust (TNRMT), was officially presented to the district by TNRMT representative Chris Stites. The funding, totaling $1,779.00 is dedicated specifically to enhancing safety protocols and reducing physical strain for the district’s essential custodial and maintenance teams.

"Our custodial and maintenance staff are the backbone of our daily operations," said Stephanie Winders. "By providing the proper equipment to handle heavy items safely, we are proactively decreasing the risk of workplace injuries and ensuring our team members have a safer work environment."

The funds will be used to purchase specialized industrial equipment, including high-capacity hand trucks and chair dollies. These tools are designed to assist staff in transporting heavy equipment and furniture across school campuses, directly addressing the physical demands of maintaining a large school district.
