PARIS, TN - Henry County High School senior Collin Whitehead has signed to join the Shotgun Sports team at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa, on an athletic scholarship.

The son of Lee and Leisa Whitehead, Collin is a nine-year veteran of the sport with an elite competitive record. His decorated career includes AIM Grand National titles, All-State Skeet honors, and the Rudy Cup (Trap). A Triple Crown winner and All-Academic State selection, Whitehead has consistently placed at the regional, state, and national levels.

Reflecting on his journey, Whitehead emphasized the personal growth he gained through the sport. "Shotgun sports has taught me what true sportsmanship looks like," he stated, while also crediting his mentors and friends for their role in his development.

Whitehead, who also serves as the student representative for the Henry County School Board, will begin competing for the William Penn Statesmen this fall as he pursues a major in Business Management with an emphasis in Agriculture.
