Puryear, TN - The future of Puryear is looking bright—with art! In a community-wide effort to envision what the town might look like in the years to come, local Dorothy and Noble Harrelson Elementary School student artists recently competed in the Puryear Mural Contest.

Contestants were tasked with designing a "futuristic Puryear" to serve as a segment of an upcoming triptych mural. The winning vision will be brought to life by renowned lead artist Dan Knowles, who will implement the final design on a large scale for the whole town to enjoy.
