Beginning in Fall 2026, Director of Schools Dr. Leah Watkins opened a new avenue for teachers to share examples of exceptional student work from across Henry County Schools. Throughout the year, we will spotlight these “Works of Excellence” to celebrate the creativity, effort, growth, and achievement of our students and the teachers who inspire them.
The first recipient of the Henry County School System Works of Excellence is Henry County High School Junior Maple Townsend, submitted by STEM teacher Ray Butler. Maple was presented a Works of Excellence medallion by Dr. Watkins and her work can be found on our website in the Works of Excellence section.
